Miss USA Nia Sanchez Engaged To 'The Hunger Games' Actor Daniel Booko

Miss USA has not only won the crown this year, but she also won the heart of her longtime boyfriend. Nia Sanchez, who was crowned Miss USA this June, is officially engaged to Daniel Booko.

Rumor Fix initially reported the news, saying the couple got engaged on Saturday night in New York City. The couple met at an engagement party for mutual friends over a year and a half ago and now the lovebirds are engaged. "That's the most beautiful girl I've ever seen," Daniel reportedly told his friend on the night he met Nia.

So how did the 30-year-old actor pop the question to his lovely girlfriend? "He secretly flew to New York, where Nia is currently living as the reigning beauty queen and she has a few of her best friends visiting her this weekend so I said 'What better time to surprise her?' She has no idea I'm flying in," Daniel told RumorFix.

Nia said "yes" and now rocks the platinum, two-carat diamond ring on her finger. According to People, the band also includes a red, white and blue stone on the inside to honor Nia's recent Miss USA title.

Nia is the 63^rd Miss USA and will go on to compete for the Miss Universe title later this year. She beat out Miss Louisiana, Miss Georgia, Miss Florida and Miss Iowa for the Miss USA title, and hails from Nevada.

After the couple's engagement this weekend, Miss Universe USA tweeted their congratulations. "Nia Sanches @MissUSA is engaged!!! Congratulations to her!!" they wrote with a picture of the happy couple.
