Dancing with the Stars returns for Week 4 tonight, and Tommy Chong is talking about his upcoming jive performance. The actor also reveals that his stoner reputation is hard to shake during the reality dance competition.

The 76-year-old actor has always been known for his stoner ways and, according to Tommy, it isn't easy to let go of his stoner personality and let the real Tommy shine through.

"I always thought that I could kind of fake my way through that part of it, but you can't. You have to be real ... Me being real can be very boring sometimes," Tommy explained to TV Guide.

"When I'm not dancing, and when I have to be part of the crowd ... or in front of the judges, that's when I get nervous. Because all my career I've always been a character. The dancing strips you of that. It's you. I can't be the stoner. I can't be the '70s Show character. I have to be me ... I get nervous being me. I don't know who the real me is, to tell you the truth. That's why I'm kind of stuck when they ask me questions. I don't have anything planned to say."

Tommy might be the oldest contestant on Season 19 of Dancing with the Stars, but that doesn't hold him back when competing. Last week, Tommy even taught his partner Peta Murgatroyd a thing or two about the tango, which showed off his increasing confidence when it comes to performing.

"I really enjoyed the tango because it was a dance that I was quite familiar with but it's still the hardest dance, I think, to do ... You know, all the pro dancers, they're young, and they're ballroom trained. And so, with tango there's a whole culture. It takes years and years and years to really learn the culture. I was just showing her, you know, a little taste," the That '70s Show star told the publication.

This week's routine won't be as easy for Tommy, however, but it does come from one of the moments in his life that made him stronger. This week's theme is "Most Memorable Year of Your Life," and Tommy chose to channel the time he spent in jail, from 2003-04, for drugs in his routine. His routine will be to "Jailhouse Rock," and it will be a jive.

Tune in tonight to see how Tommy and Peta do their jive performance.
