Nashville has a lot of new faces his season including Go On's Laura Benanti playing newcomer Sadie Stone and now Dancing With the Stars' professional Derek Hough will be guest starring on the hit ABC show.
Tonight's all-new episode of Nashville will mark Derek's debut on the country music show. Derek will be playing a Hollywood actor named Noah West who crosses paths with Juliette Barnes (played by Hayden Panettiere). The actor opened up about his character's role on the show and a possible love triangle with Juliette to TV Line.
"He's not country at all. He has no country ties," Derek told TV Line about his new role. "He's a Hollywood actor... It's fun to be able to play a character within a character, because I play Noah West, who plays Patsy Cline's husband [in the biopic]. That was fun, to be on a movie set while on a TV set."
Noah will be in a lot of scenes with Juliette as she practices her lines for the new film she has been cast in. Derek described Noah's experience with Juliette as "pretty positive," but what does that mean when it comes to love?
"She's obviously a beautiful girl, and he's a Hollywood actor. Yes, he is definitely attracted to her," he told the publication.
With no one knowing that Juliette is pregnant (with Avery's baby) it will be interesting to see how she deals with a new possible love interest. Unfortunately, for now there will not be a Juliette and Avery (played by Jonathan Jackson) reunion any time soon.
"[With] what he's going through with Juliette, there's a natural instinct to gravitate toward Scarlett. Their relationship-slash-friendship... runs fairly deep," Joshua told TV Guide about the likelihood for Avery and Juliette to rekindle their romance.
As for Noah's character, we will have to wait and see if he can spark up a relationship with the princess of country, Juliette while the two of them form a professional acting relationship.
Tune in tonight to see what happens when Noah first meets Juliette on an all-new Nashville.
