Still rocked by last week's tearful conclusion of "Kill The Moon," Doctor Who returns with season 8's episode number 8, "Mummy on the Orient Express." You can probably guess what adventure we have in store for us from the title, but another point of this episode is that it's Peter Capaldi's first solo mission. Clara (Jenna Coleman) has told the Doctor to leave her alone, causing him to take on this scary adventure on by himself. Though his companion isn't around this week, British songstress Foxes guest stars this week! Let's take a look at some preview photos and videos of this new episode. (SPOILERS to follow)

We've seen the other Doctor of the past take on adventures by themselves, meeting new people along the way, but at the end of the day we know that he misses his true companions. This episode will be our first taste of how Capaldi's Twelfth Doctor handles traveling alone, and our first episode without Clara since she joined Matt Smith's Doctor last year.

So what kind of adventure has the Doctor found himself in this week? Here is the official episode synopsis for "Mummy on the Orient Express" (via BBC America):

The Doctor is on the most beautiful train in history, speeding among the stars of the future. But a deadly creature is stalking the passengers. Once you see the horrifying Mummy you only have 66 seconds to live. No exceptions, no reprieve. As the Doctor races against the clock he's seen at his deadliest and most ruthless. Will he work out how to defeat the Mummy? Start the clock!

Oh boy! Well let's get a better sense of the episode in the following preview images and clips:
