Misty Upham has officially been labeled as a missing person, according to the Indian Country Today. The 32-year-old was last seen leaving her sister's apartment in Muckleshoot, Washington on October 5.
ICTMN (The Native American Media Network) has confirmed with the Washington police that a report has been filed for a missing person.
The Frozen River actresses' father released a note to the media stating, "Award Winning Native Actress, Misty Upham-best known for her roles in: August: Osage County, Jimmy P and Frozen River, is a Missing Person," The statement read. "She disappeared on Sunday, October 5, 2014. She was last seen walking from her sister's apartment in Muckleshoot, Washington. Misty is considered an endangered missing person due to a medical condition. She has not been in contact with her family or friends since her disappearance. If anybody has any information or has been in contact with Misty since October 5, 2014. You are asked to contact the Auburn police department (253) 288-2121, case no. 14-13189.
The star played Johnna Monevata a housekeeper in the Oscar-nominated film August: Osage County. She is also in the new film with Jennifer Aniston, Cake.
According to Reuters, there are not suspects or leads in her missing persons case, and she is believed to have left on her own free will.
Police stated that they have arrived on scene at the apartment numerous times over the past year regarding apparent suicide attempts. Upham's parents confirmed to police that she is on medication for a mental health problem.
The actress has not been in contact with friends or family since her disappearance.
