Mona Scott-Young is trying to set the record straight about whatever Love & Hip Hop fans think of her show in a new interview with Arise 360.
MStars News previously covered the infamous reunion brawl that had some fans and viewers wanting the show cancelled, as it portrayed a bad light on the African-American culture.
"Love it or hate it, they're addicted," Mona explained about the infamous Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta reunion show, during an recent interview, seen below.
Scott-Young said what makes the show successful is that, “Everybody just expresses themselves at will. Sometimes it’s not in line with how the rest of us would express ourselves."
When talking about Joseline Hernandez, whose violence was a total shock on the last reunion show, Mona defended her actions saying, “I think for the most part people were understanding; although a bit disappointed, in how she ended up expressing herself during the reunion."
“I think there’s a spectacle factor to it. These guys are living their lives so loudly. I think people enjoy being able to sit in their living rooms and see what’s going on in other people’s lives." She continued, "I always say I also think that there’s a relatability factor that nobody wants to comp to. You see a little bit of something that you recognize, maybe a little if something of yourself in them as well."
Besides all the negativity the show is receiving, Scott-Young is now focused on her new drink line, Myx Fusions Moscato.
