Pharrell And Adidas Unveil Luxe Track Jackets; #Supercolor Sneaker Collaboration Set For Release In Spring 2015

Aside from the now-infamous Vivienne Westwood mountain hat Pharrell Williams wore to the Grammys earlier this year, there was another piece of clothing he sported that made a "pivotal statement that night: a red, custom leather version of Adidas's classic Firebird track jacket, made famous by Eighties b-boys." Also, his #Supercolor collab is set for a spring 2015 release.

The jacket foreshadowed what was to come, as Williams later revealed he had indeed been tapped as Adidas's newest collaborator.

Since then, Pharrell has done just about everything one can do to the Adidas Stan Smiths. He has doodled on them and even blinged them out. Now, Pharrell has created them in every color imaginable.

The singer/producer recently posted a picture of his rainbow sneaker collection on Instagram with the hashtag "#Supercolor," which could possibly be a code name for his next collaboration with the brand.

Adidas reposted the photo with the caption "#AdidasOriginals = @Pharrell Williams. Superstar. March 2015."

In the midst of Pharrell Week at Colette in Paris, the mastermind is gifting us with even more of his designs. According to Hip Hop Wired, Pharrell and Adidas have unveiled a luxe, tennis-inspired version of a piece that has been a "Hip Hop staple since the 80s." The silhouette looks similar to the accustomed fit of bomber jackets with a noticeably slimmer cut than the original track top.

Pharrell remade his three track jackets for Adidas in new colors. The latest additions, made of perforated leather, "have a tropical feel," coming in bright colors of lime green and tangerine orange. The jacket is also available in white. The collab will be available at select boutiques worldwide and will retail at about $1,265.99.

We won't be surprised if Pharrell has even more Adidas jackets and sneakers in the works. We will definitely stay tuned!
