'How I Met Your Mother' Alum Cobie Smulders And Husband Taran Killam Are Expecting Their Second Child

How I Met Your Mother alumna Cobie Smulders and her Saturday Night Live husband Taran Killam are expecting their second child together.

People exclusively confirmed that the acting couple is expecting baby No. 2. The 32-year-old actress and her 32-year-old husband already have one daughter together: Shaelyn Cado Killam.

"They talked about growing their family once she was done with [How I Met Your Mother] and moved to New York," a sourced told Us Weekly about the couple's baby plans.

In 2009, the couple welcomed their first child, now 5, in May. After giving birth, Cobie appeared on The Bonnie Hunt Show and opened up about motherhood.

"I think I sleep an average of four hours a night now, so it's just like functioning on fumes sometimes. But it's the best," the Avengers: Age of Ultron star said at the time.

During her last pregnancy, the Canadian-born actress's costar, Alyson Hannigan, was also pregnant with her daughter Satyana and the two friends could not stop talking about babies on the HIMYM set.

"It's nice because we can just talk about babies all day long, and not be like, 'OK, this person has to be sick of this,' because you know that she's just as excited as I am," Alyson told People at the time.

The expectant parents got married in 2012 in a ceremony in Solvang, California. The wedding took place at the Alisal Guest Ranch and Resort in September 2012. The lovebirds are pretty quiet when it comes to their personal lives, but Cobie did reveal to People in 2009 that when Taran popped the question, it was personal.

"That's personal, but it was very romantic, I'll tell you that much," she said.

Cobie is keeping herself busy during her pregnancy, recently finishing filming on an independent film called Results, which will hit theaters in 2015. Her new Marvel film, Avengers: Age of Ultron is also due out this spring.
