Dancing With the Stars season 18 champions Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Meryl Davis are ready to step back on the back floor, but only for a limited time. The dancing duo will reunite for one night to perform together.
"Meryl and I are going to reproduce a couple of our routines and give people a little Maks and Meryl magic – even if it's just for a day," Maksim exclusively told People.
The couple, which is made up of pro Maksim and Olympic figure skater Meryl will be teaming back up on Dec. 17 at Maks' dance extravaganza called SWAY-A Dance Trilogy, which takes place in Westbury, New York.
"I think audiences are going to be very happy to see Meryl back on the stage. She has never done anything like this and is very excited about the opportunity. We are happy to have her with us this time, and to have Zendaya back again," the DWTS pro told the publication.
Meryl is equally as excited to be a part of the event, tweeting her happiness earlier this morning. "Thrilled to be a part of SWAY 2.0 on Dec. 17th! Come join us! Dancewithmeusa.com/sway @DanceWithMeUSA," Meryl wrote on her Twitter account on Thursday.
In addition to Meryl, who will only be performing on Dec. 17 and Zendaya Coleman, who will only be performing on Dec. 21, the show will feature numerous DWTS pros. The lineup includes, Maks' brother Val Chmerkovskiy, Peta Murgatroyd, Artem Chigvintsev, Tony Dovolani, Sharna Burgess and more.
As for their off-stage chemistry, the 34-year-old dancer revealed that he is not dating Meryl, but he cares for her "very deeply" as a friend. He admitted that although they are not dating, she has the ability to calm him down in a matter of seconds.
"So, with Meryl, she totally balances me out. She's like this little thing, and I'm like 10 miles of inferno, but she can put her hand on me and say, 'Calm down. Everything is fine.' And then everything calms down," he explained to People.
The former DWTS pro even revealed that Janel Parrish's relationship with his brother Val, is similar to the one he shares with Meryl, which is very calming.
"He is similar to me. She calms him down. She makes sure she doesn't react to things or get thrown by them," he said.
