MAC has tapped the trendy e-tailer Nasty Gal for a limited edition collection just in time for the upcoming holiday season. WWD reports the collection will stay true to Nasty Gal's vintage vibe with three lipsticks, each $16, that are totally #GirlBoss worthy as well as a fierce, fire engine red nail polish, priced at $12.
According to Vibe Vixen, the color palette for the lipsticks are perfect for the holiday season with offerings ranging from a beautiful matte red, vamp-like burgundy, and a purple that screams rebel. The capsule collection will be available online and in select stores December 4.
"MAC and Nasty Gal are both young, colorful brands that complement one another," said founder of Nasty Gal, Sophia Amoruso. "It was a fun and effortless collaboration to create."
Amoruso has been keeping busy styling Lena Dunham in an exclusive Nasty Gal wardrobe for her Not That Kind Of Girl book tour, and Sophia's own book, #GIRLBOSS, which documented her founding of Nasty Gal and subsequent world domination. MAC has also been on a roll lately. First with Rihanna's Viva Glam 2 and then their Rocky Horror collection.
Rihanna recently unveiled her second Viva Glam MAC collaboration, appropriately named Viva Glam Rihanna 2. Rihanna's "fearless, confident style" was quite evident in the ad, which features the singer in a green wig and green leather dress, wearing the new shade of lipstick.
MAC and Rihanna created a frosted metallic mauve Lipstick and Lipglass for the collaboration. The Lipstick comes in a warm mauve with silver frost, while the Lipglass comes in a cool mauve with red frost. The products come in a velvety, red packaging featuring RiRi's signature and are priced at $16 and &15.
According to Refinery 29, MAC's 21-piece Rocky Horror collection featured glitter pots galore ($23), four lipsticks in varying shades of crimson ($17.50), and a set of false lashes ($18.50).
