Rumer Willis is opening up about true self-confidence and whether or not she would ever have plastic surgery.
While hosting a party for Torrid, the plus-size clothing line, Willis talked all about having self-confidence no matter what you look like. "At a certain point in my life, I just realized that I could either choose to allow other's people's idea of me to change my perspective of myself, or I could create my own perception of myself and have that be the only thing that matters," Rumer told Entertainment Tonight.
"Not everyone's going to like you all the time. As long as I stay true to what I believe in, and the kind of morals and values that I want to put out in the world in the way that I want to represent myself, then it's all good."
Willis' outlook on life is very similar to what Torrid's brand believes and it is what drew her to partnering with the clothing company. "I think no matter what size, shape you are, you know, gender, color ... you should have an equal opportunity and not be limited by your fashion choices in the way that you want to represent yourself," she told the publication.
"Some women feel sexiest in sweatpants, some feel amazing in a ball gown. You should be doing whatever makes you happy."
Rumer also opened up about how strong her sister, Tallulah, is now that she is dealing with her eating disorder and her personal self-confidence. "I've actually never been so impressed and blown away by her strength and openness and willingness. Not only to move past things but also to share herself with other people," the actress told People about her younger sister's stuggle with her body image.
The 26-year-old star believes that you should do or look however you'd like and if that includes plastic surgery it's okay. "If all of a sudden you jump from being an A cup to like double D's, people know. I just think you have to be who you are and own it, and not be ashamed and feel like you have to apologize," Rumer explained about her outlook on plastic surgery.
Even though she isn't against plastic surgery, she was quick to say that she hasn't had any plastic surgery, despite the rumors. "I know there's something that came up recently about me getting plastic surgery and it's not true," she revealed.
"If I do want to do that – If I want to get a boob job or change things about myself – I'm not going to lie about myself. And if I choose to do something to myself, it's because I've thought about it. And if it's going to make me feel better, I won't be ashamed of the choices that I make," she added.
