Last night, Diane von Furstenberg's new reality series House of DVF premiered on E! last night. StyleBlazer reports on the new series that the originator of the wrap-skirt will be searching for a global ambassador for her brand. It's a new position for the company and one that will see the individual traveling all over the world on her behalf. There are 10 girls who were selected and only eight spots in the full program, so last night two of them were sent home. Last night, the designer sat down with her team to discuss the candidates who will be competing for the position.

"Choosing a brand ambassador is very, very risky. Every company has brand ambassadors. We have never had somebody travel the world. Usually I'm the fool that travels. The girl who becomes the brand ambassador will have a real job, with a salary," said von Furstenberg.

According to E! News, first up is Coco, a pageant queen and international model. Next up is Abigail, who hails from Haiti and came to the United States to pursue a career in fashion. Then there's Kier the fashion blogger, who actually sold her eggs so she could go to Fashion Week! Amanda is the all-American girl who studied merchandising at FIT, Jinna worked for Dolce & Gabbana and GUESS and left behind everything — including her boyfriend — to pursue the opportunity with DVF, while Brittany is an established stylist who has previously worked with Ariana Grande.

So far, this show sounds like a winner! Tune in Sundays at 10 p.m. on E!

MStars News recently reported that von Furstenberg released a new book: The Woman I Wanted To Be. Diane has been a fashion icon for more than 40 years. In her new memoir, she's sharing what she has learned along the way.

"I put my soul into it," she said. "One who's known me 35 years helped with the structure and architecture. But it's me speaking. I sat at my computer weekends. I'd work 5 a.m. to 8. I'm up daily around dawn and go to sleep between 11:30 and 1. You cannot sleep longer because how much time do any of us have left in life?"

Diane was born to a mother who survived the concentration camps of World War II, had two children with an actual prince and was taking the fashion world by storm by the time she was in her late 20s. Now, at 67, she shows no sign of slowing down. Her book is available now on Amazon.
