'Travel Channel Star' Reality Web Series Coming To Website- Looking For People Who Love Adventure

Do you have a thirst for adventure and travel? If you answered "yes," you might be exactly what The Travel Channel is looking for to fill a position on their all-new reality series. The network, which specializes in taking viewers to exotic locations without leaving the comfort of their own homes, is looking to make a star out of one lucky person. Their brand new web series called Travel Channel Star! will follow participants as they compete in a three-stage battle to win the title.

The network is currently in the process of search from coast-to-coast looking for interesting people to cast on the reality web series, which will premiere in the fall of 2015 on Travelchannel.com. The three rounds will have the participants submitting all kinds of different material to the site to be considered.

The winner will be announced in a one-hour special that will air on the website and they will go on to host a five-part series, also on the site.

The first round in the process, which began today and ends on April 15, will allow hopefully participants to submit videos of themselves to the networks website.

Ross Babbit the SVP of Programming and Development for the network, revealed that his idea for the show was that he is also asked how one can become a host of a Travel Channel show.

"I'm often asked the question, 'how can I be a host for Travel Channel?' Now we're giving our viewers a chance to do just that", Babbit explained in a statement. "The video submissions should tell a story and highlight a location that matches contestants' travel expertise. The best travel videos include an array of topics like food, adventure, unique shopping and local attractions. But what we really want to see come through is personality, point-of-view and a distinct passion and excitement for travel."

Top 10 Best Road Trips.

Contestant will have three different ways to enter the competition. First they can go to the open casting call on November 10^th at the Museum of The Moving Image in New York, or attend another casting call at Tastemade Studios in California during a time that has not been revealed yet. Lastly they can submit a two minute video on the networks website.
