Dellavedova doesn't want the fans to forget him, he explained, saying, "It's a lot more people in the locker room when you're trying to get ready. I've just stayed ready whenever [Blatt] needs me. Just try to provide whatever he needs or be the energy for this team." Coach David Blatt insisted "I thought they defended well. I thought they both pushed the ball and I thought the team flowed very well." However, it's easy to see why the attention will fall on Irving, not Dellavedova.
Irving will look to out-do Lillard tonight. Lillard insisted: "We're both competitors trying to help our team win games. The best part of his game to me is his craftiness. He's a great shooter and a great finisher, but how crafty he is makes it hard to control either one of those."
Irving was quick to respond, saying, "He's a real cool dude, but on the court, we fuel a real competitive fire. His pace and his jump shot, the way he creates space in such a short amount of time. He gets his shot off every time with consistency. Seeing his shot, the rotation on the ball every single time he shoots - it shows you he's been shooting for a while. He's been working on his craft. It was great to see."
Which of these three guards will have a night to remember?
