Spice Girl Engaged: Geri Halliwell Getting Married To Formula One's Christian Horner

Geri Halliwell is about to spice up her life all the way to the wedding chapel. The Spice Girls singer has found her Mr. Right in Formula One racing team boss Christian Horner.

The couple announced their plans to marry in The Times only a week after fellow British star Benedict Cumberbatch announced his engagement to fiancee Sophie Hunter.

Geri also took to her Twitter account to make the announcement official because you know what they say: It's not official until it's Twitter of Facebook official.

Christian and I are delighted to announce that we are engaged! We're both very happy.

The 42-year-old star wrote, "Christian and I are delighted to announce that we are engaged! We're both very happy."

According to E! News, this will be the first marriage for the former girl group member, who announced her relationship with Horner back in March 2014.

While this is her first marriage, both partners are bringing children from other relationships into the union. Halliwell has an 8-year-old daughter named Bluebell while Christian is the proud father of 1-year-old Olivia.

The Daily Mail caught up with the couple and got photos of the engagement ring as the pair made their way through Heathrow Airport earlier this week. The couple was returning from a trip to Sao Paulo, Brazil.

A representative spoke out to the news site, saying everyone is happy for the newly engaged couple.

"Everyone is really pleased for them and wish them happiness and good health together for many many years to come," the rep said.
