With great power comes great responsibility, and Brian Hoyer is looking to use his in an understandable, yet demanding manner. The Cleveland Browns have been locked in a QB battle between him and Johnny Manziel, but now after topping the highly-paid Andy Dalton, it seems that he's going to demand more money than his rival. With his lack of games, despite his good form, it's unlikely that he will get his wish, meaning Cleveland could hand the starting job to Money Manziel next season, exciting the fans and saving them millions of dollars in the process. Welcome to the NFL, Johnny.
Hoyer often seems a humble man, and he loves Cleveland, given his local connection, but that love, according to reports, will not stop him from holding the Browns for ransom. This could be his last opportunity to earn big money, and he knows off of this season he's more than likely to receive a huge contract from one of the many QB-needy teams.
Hoyer spoke to the press, saying their form was great. He explained, "Yeah, it's awesome. I don't think many people gave us a chance, but the people in that (locker) room believed, The greatest thing about our team is we play as a team. It was great. That's great to see our fans come down and support us here and we gave them something to cheer about. It's definitely something special and I'll remember that for a long time."
Should the Browns pay up, or should they send Hoyer packing and give Manziel his chance?
