'Mass Effect' Trilogy Next-Gen Remake Confirmed? BioWare Polls Fans On Gaming Forum - Remastering Franchise?

Fans of the popular BioWare video gaming franchise Mass Effect just celebrated "N7 Day" on November 7, the unofficial holiday for the game, but we might have more reason to celebrate soon. Aaryn Flynn, the development studios boss, recently polled his target audience on a Mass Effect forum, leading to many believing a remake of the trilogy is on the way.

Flynn apparently started a thread on NeoGAF, asking fans to agree or disagree with a list of features that he compiled from others sharing their opinions with him in regards to Mass Effect. This is what many gaming websites believe to be a pretty sure sign that a remake or remastered version of the trilogy is on its way.

Though he explained at the end of his post that these features are currently viewed as a "wish list" of ideas, it's still pretty exciting. Check out the list right here (via Gamma Squad):

-1080p
- 60 fps
- High res textures, especially on ME1
- Some shader improvements commensurate with newer GPUs
- All the DLC
- "Seamless experience" - the adventures flow into each other without having to go back to save import, menu screens, etc.

Eurogamer points out that as the thread went on, many suggested some other features, with Flynn responding to a number of them. For instance, many were wondering if the first Mass Effect would ever be as smooth as the latest, Mass Effect 3.

"'ME3 combat mechanics in ME1' comes up relatively often, but it's not on my radar (again, speaking personally)," he responded. "First it would be a helluva lot of work. Second, I hate the idea of us being accused of 'retconning' ME1. Third (and I bet everyone on NeoGAF knows this), there are those who prefer ME1... So given that all that, it doesn't feel like the right thing to do." [sic]
