Destiny pretty much just hit shelves (release date: Sept 9, 2014) but a new announcement this week confirmed that the developers at Bungie are already working on the next chapter of the title. Activision confirmed this news along with Bungie's recent blog update.
As IGN points out, Bungie just made a big blog update, detailing the new improvements to the 2014 release. This news includes some information on DLC, bugs and much more. Read the entire post here!
Meanwhile, according to a number of source including Shacknews and Escapist Magazine, Activision CEO Eric Hirshberg confirmed the new game news in a conference call with investors.
"Work has also begun on future expansion packs, as well as on our next full game release," he explained.
When Activision was contacted to make an official announcement on this news, a rep responded:
"At Activision we are very pleased at the launch of Destiny and look forward to working with Bungie to expand the universe over the course of our 10-year relationship. We have nothing further to announce at this time."
