As the holiday season nears, fall TV shows are preparing for their hiatuses. NBC has officially announced the fall finale dates for some of its biggest shows including The Blacklist and Parenthood. Plus, we have your Monday night TV ratings roundup from this week.
According to TV Guide, NBC has announced the midseason finales for its fall lineup and most of them are early in December. The Blacklist, which airs on Mondays actually already had its midseason finale last night, November 10. The drama, which follows Raymond "Red" Reddington (played by James Spader) as he helps the FBI capture criminals on his elusive "blacklist," won't be back until to 2015. So if you missed last night's episode you can watch it on demand.
TV Line reported that The Blacklist will return on February 1 after Super Bowl Sunday. Parenthood, on the other hand, will return in January, after its November 20 fall finale. The rest of the network's midseason finales are A to Z and Bad Judge, which have both been canceled will end on December 11.
Chicago Fire will have its fall finale on December 2, while comedy newcomer Marry Me will be on December 9. Chicago P.D., Mysteries of Laura, and Law & Order: SVU (which begins its crossover week with Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D. tonight, November 11) will all have their midseason finales on December 10. December 12 will mark the end of the fall finales for NBC with Grimm and Constantine.
As for Monday night television's current ratings, NBC has increased with one of its shows, while its other big show decreased in the ratings. The Blacklist, which aired its midseason finale last night, went up four percent from last week's numbers according to Zap2It.
The Voice, the reality competition for singers, dropped down nine percent when it went into the live rounds on Monday night. NBC had better numbers in comparison to CBS, which had a series of low numbers in its Monday night line up.
"On CBS, 2 Broke Girls garnered a series low 1.9, down 14 percent from last week's 2.2 adults 18-49 rating. The Millers notched a series low 1.5, down 9 percent from last week's 1.6 adults 18-49 rating. Scorpion scored a 2.0, down 10 percent from last week's 2.2 adults 18-49 rating. NCIS: Los Angeles matched last week's series low 1.5 adults 18-49 rating," Zap2It reported.
