Emily Blunt may play a woman who is desperately trying to have a child in her new film Into the Woods, but when she got the role it definitely wasn't a case of life imitating art. Before filming the movie musical, the star found out she was pregnant, which caused for a lot of accommodations on set. Blunt and hubby John Krasinski were ecstatic to hear the news, but it just meant that film producers and execs would have to work harder to conceal the star's growing baby bump.

According to E! News, the cast of the film found hiding the pregnancy extremely comical.

Emily's co-star on the film, Meryl Streep, explained to Disney Twenty-Three, the official Disney fan club, how the film got around Blunt's growing belly.

"They were constantly putting James Corden [the baker] in front of her belly, raising her apron higher and higher," the star explained. "That was pretty funny."

Emily revealed that her costumes were all designed to help hide the bump.

"I was hiding behind every tree in that wood!" Blunt jokingly explained, before adding, "Colleen Atwood, who's the most remarkable costume designer, as everybody knows, was so accommodating. I would say towards the end, every four or fives day they were making some adjustments."

She also explained to the site how her real-life situation helped her prepare for the role.

"The fact that I was pregnant actually was a rather transporting thing, and a very helpful experience in a way to understanding the urgent need that this woman has for a baby," the star said. "Here I was, feeling incredibly blessed and understanding what the character maybe is missing out on."

Into the Woods opens in theaters Christmas Day.
