Brothers Peyton Manning and Eli Manning both had nights they won't want to remember in a hurry, but could they walk away from the NFL or just their teams after this season? The stars have helped the Denver Broncos and the New York Giants for a long, long time, but reports have suggested that Peyton's ready to retire, while Eli is ready to seek a new team. What should the (currently) miserable Manning brothers do?
Peyton was far from his best this weekend, and his brother Eli had an even worse night. Both quarterbacks can be at an unbelievable level, but they can be unimaginably bad, too. However, Peyton is often consistent, despite his advanced years. Eli, despite having a long time left, can be better than his brother one week, and worse than an inexperienced rookie the following week.
Peyton has been linked with a 2015 retirement, but it's believed that he and the Broncos have held discussions, and he's leaning towards playing for one more season, health permitting of course. Eli, however, is locked down for the near future, but he could look to force through a move, to try something new, which worked well for his brother just a couple of years ago.
Perhaps a chance of Eli would help him settle down, but as for Peyton, he's not going anywhere just yet, but he's most certainly on the road to his final destination, which is retirement. What team would make a great fit for Eli, and will Peyton walk away while in his best days?
