Are the Duggars the most recent TLC family about to get cancelled? It certainly looks that way, at least if fans have anything to say about it. 19 Kids & Counting stars Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar have outraged the LGBT community after they removed pictures of gay couples kissing from their Facebook account. The reality stars actions have caused the gay community to start a petition to get the series removed from TLC.
According to RadarOnline, Jim Wissick started a petition, called the "End LGBTQ Fear Mongering by the Duggars," on Change.org to get the network to cancel the long-running reality series.
"The Duggars have thrown massive amounts of money... so business owners and landlords can evict and fire people soley over gender identity and sexual orientation," Wissick explained on the petition. "They need to be taken off the air!"
The Duggar's found themselves in a scandal earlier this week, when newlyweds Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald posted a photo to their social site of them kissing after their wedding. Parents Jim and Michellequickly came to the couple's defense and posted a photo of themselves kissing too, to take the heat off the couple.
The leaders of the Duggar family then asked for their fans to submit photos of themselves kissing their spouse, however, when LGBT individuals shared their pictures, the Duggar clan quickly deleted them, outraging the community and causing the creation of the petition.
The form currently has more than 6,000 signatures out of the 100,000 needed and is gaining a lot of attention on the Internet. Whether or not this will be enough to get TLC to take the series off the air is another matter.
