One Direction head to Sesame Street in the new clip from the daytime kids show. The British boy band, who just released their newest album Four, have taken a stop on Sesame Street to hang out with Grover and Elmo and teach them all about the letter "U." The UK X-Factor singers have made stops all over the place to promote their latest music venture but they made sure not to leave out their pals on Sesame Street.
The video clip called, "What Makes 'U' Useful," features Niall Horan, Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Louis Tomlinson, and Liam Payne singing about all the words that start with the letter "u."
According to E! News, the song is a parody of their 2010 hit "What Makes You Beautiful," as the guys change their lyrics to become educational.
"I love 'u.' Don't you know you're so useful," the guys sing while also listing different words that start with the letter including, ukulele, unicorn, underwater, upside down, and even underpants.
"U stars urn, that's what I've learned and a unicycle is hard to turn," the boys sing in their revamped song. "26 letters are in the alphabet but we're here to sing about U/ U for utensils in Grover's hand/ U is for uncles, but not for aunts/ U there are u's on those underpants/ Letter U, that's what makes you so useful."
The boys are all together for the video, as opposed to the interview that they gave yesterday on the Today show with Matt Lauer, where Zayn was missing due to a stomach bug.
Gawker is reporting that One Direction fans are livid after Lauer implied that Zayn missed the interview due to some kind of substance abuse problem.
The star spoke out to The Sun, explaining, "I'm really angry and upset by what was said on The Today Show. I was really ill at the weekend, that's why I couldn't fly to America."
