Topshop's latest sale is a little different. The retailer is auctioning off the dresses made for stars who attended the prestigious Met Gala at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York back in May. The gowns worn by British model Jourdan Dunn, actress Zoe Kravitz, models Kendall Jenner, Toni Garrn and Chanel Iman were created by hand at Topshop's workshop in London.
According to Fashion Telegraph, each design was conceived with the wearer in mind and complemented the show-stopping gowns made by British couturier Charles James. The retailer is putting the dresses up for sale on eBay from November 27 for 10 days, with proceeds benefitting the Ralph Lauren-founded charity, Fashion Targets Breast Cancer.
Topshop recently released its holiday campaign, starring Cara Delevingne, just one day after throwing a mind-blowingly star-studded dinner in New York. The collection features sparkly dresses, novelty tights and feather-embellished shoes. MStars News recently reported that Beyoncé, Jessie J, Ciara, Tommy Hilfiger, Lionel Richie and Hailee Steinfeld, among others, were there to celebrate Topshop's new, 40,000-square-foot flagship store at 49th Street and Fifth Avenue in Manhattan.
