We have more casting news just for you! This week New Girl landed another guest star, Meaghan Rath for season four and True Blood's Sam Trammell will be joining the film, Three Generations.
The Hollywood Reporter exclusively learned that Meaghan Rath would be guest starring in New Girl for their Valentine's Day episode in 2015.
"One single member of the loft gang, Coach (Damon Wayans Jr.), will be celebrating with a love interest. The Hollywood Reporter has learned that actress Meaghan Rath will appear in the episode-with the potential to recur down the line," THR reported.
Meaghan will play May, Coach's new love interest. The two will meet on Valentine's Day when they are both on a bar crawl and according to the publication the rest is history! It has yet to be announced how many episodes Meaghan will appear in, but we are just happy that Coach will find love this season.
This is the second guest star to be booked for one of New Girl's holiday episodes. Billy on the Street star Billy Eichner will appear in the Fox comedy's Christmas-themed episode later this year.
In other casting news, The Fault in Our Stars actor Sam Trammell will be joining the cast of Three Generations. The cast currently includes Naomi Watts, Elle Fanning, Susan Sarandon and Tate Donovan. Sam will play the younger brother of Tate's character in the transgender drama.
"It centers on a New York City teen, Ray (Fanning), who has decided to transition from female to male and the impact of her decision on her single mother (Watts) and her grandmother (Sarandon), a music manager living with her lesbian partner and having her own conflict with Ray's mother," The Hollywood Reporter wrote.
Dorothy Berwin will produce Three Generations with Peter Saraf and Marc Turtleaub. Gaby Dellal will be directing the indie film that was written by Nikole Beckwith.
