Actor Mickey Rourke returned to boxing in incredible fashion last Friday, the 62 year old taking part in a exhibition match in Russia against a 29 year old former Golden Glove champion... but now it turns out that Rourke's opponent might have been a mentally ill homeless man paid to throw the fight!

As revealed by The Daily Mail, Rourke's opponent Elliot Seymour "is homeless and was 'paid to throw the fight'", after the boxer went down in the second round of the five round bout. The Daily Mail go on to to say that the fighter "is a homeless drifter" who just happened to train at the same Hollywood gym as Hollywood star Rourke.

Quoting a source who claims to be a family friend of Elliot Seymour, the Daily Mail also add that Seymour has been "on the streets for almost 18 months". The source claimed that "the real story is he's homeless and desperate and he will probably go back to living on the streets when he gets back. People have no clue about that."

The Daily Mail also quote their source as saying, "and there's so much that's more important than the fact it was fixed, which is the fact he doesn't have a home and he's got some mental health issues."

They then go onto explain that Seymour is couch surfing, hanging out at a Starbucks, and spends nights in a local park in Pasadena, California

The New York Post added that a source at the fighters' gym called Seymour "a professional opponent - meaning you pay him to lose.''

"The fight was a joke," they quote the source as saying. "Mickey needs to stop pretending he ever was very good and just keep acting. It's kind of an embarrassment, really. Mickey throws punches so slow an infant could avoid them."

As Mstars News reported, Rourke had an actual amateur boxing career before making it big in Hollywood, and then turned pro for a short period in the '90s, ending up with a pro record of six wins, two draws and no losses.

Check out the footage of Rourke 'fighting' Seymour below. What do you think? Did Rourke take advantage of a homeless man with mental illness?
