After perhaps the most intense, memorable and active 48-hour period in the history of Major League Baseball's winter meetings, the dust has finally cleared and there are new faces in the clubhouses of the Dodgers, Marlins, Reds, Angels, Padres, Red Sox and Cubs. - Chicago Cubs sign starting pitcher Jon Lester to six-year, $155M contract (CBSSports)

- Los Angeles Dodgers trade outfielder Matt Kemp to San Deigo Padres for catcher Tim Federowicz, catcher Yasmani Grandal, pitchers Joe Wieland and Zach Eflin (MLB)
