Get ready for one last trip around the hallways of McKinley High School as Glee is preparing for its final season. The gang is gearing up and getting ready to return to Lima, Ohio, to take one last shot at Sue Sylvester and try to return the glee club to its former glory. The new trailer for the final 13 episodes of the hit Fox series has just debuted, and it shows the return of all the most-beloved characters we've grown to know over the last six years, including Rachel (Lea Michele), Kurt (Chris Colfer), Sue (Jane Lynch) and even Santana (Naya Rivera).
The YouTube clip, which was just released, shows Lea Michele as her character takes on one of the most popular songs of the last couple years: "Let It Go." The track, made famous by Idina Menzel, who actually played Rachel's mother on the series during the first few seasons, is definitely going to be stuck in our heads all over again after hearing the Glee cover.
Some of our favorite characters will be returning to their roots during the new season, Rachel sings a power ballad, Santana and Brittany rejoin the Cheerios and Blaine even stops by to check on his Warbler guys.
E! News spoke to Ryan Murphy about the series and how he has planned for the characters to take their final bows.
"You have to have obstacles to have a happy ending," Murphy explained to the news site. "I've spent a year learning what they want. We have a list in the writers' room that says, 'What do the fans want to end that show?' And our endings are very uplifting, and I think by the end of it, people will be ecstatic and really thrilled by how things turn out, I am."
The final season will premiere Jan. 9 at 8 p.m. on Fox.
