Well, it's over, folks. The Colbert Report is officially done. Finite. Finished! Last night, Comedy Central aired the very last Colbert Report, and in the episode, it looks like host Stephen Colbert went head-to-head with Death ... and won! That's right, the now-immortal, soon-to-be host of the Late Show beat death and then went on to invite a slew of past guests out for a wonderfully emotional rendition of "We'll Meet Again." And yes, The Daily Show host Jon Stewart was there. After the sing-along, Colbert took to his immoral world, leaving behind the Report studios and joining the likes of Santa Claus, Jeopardy's Alex Trebek and Abraham Lincoln. Why? Well, why not!
After coming back from commercial, the newly immortal David Letterman replacement sat atop his desk and thanked the Colbertnation for "taking some of your rapidly dwindling time on Earth" to be with him.
The host then added, "I'm ending The Colbert Report and I was going to say goodbye, but now that I'll live forever –– who knows. I guess what I'm trying to say is...
...and that's when the sing-along began. Enter Jon Stewart –– and then some.
Check out Colbert's "goodbye" from Comedy Central below:
Before signing off, Colbert gave a heavy thank you to his fans via Santa's sleigh, in which he also thanked the crew, their families and the guests –– oh, and Mavis Staples.
As great as the last episode of The Colbert Report may have been, the best part came at the very, very end which showed Stewart back in his Daily Show studios about to give the people their "Moment of Zen" –– which he didn't do at the very end of his show, if you were watching closely.
Afterwards, it was time for the Moment of Zen.

Goodbye, Stephen! Thanks for the laughs.
