Are you ready to ring in 2015 with a brand new episode of The Simpsons? Well, we've got some sneak peek pics to give you a taste of what to expect from "The Man Who Came To Be Dinner", which will air this Sunday January 4 at 7.30 p.m. on Fox. It's an interstellar affair as the family visit Rigel VII, the home planet of Kang and Kodos after visiting a dodgy theme park, and the aliens try to eat Homer. Longtime Simpsons producer Al Jean says the episode "looks awesome."

According to the episode's synopsis, in "The Man Who Came To Be Dinner" the Simpson family head to a theme park called 'Diz-Nee-Land', "where the lines for the rides are terrible, except for a rocket called "Rocket to Your Doom" that takes them to Rigel VII."
That, of course, is the planet that Simpsons alien buddies Kang and Kodos call home... but unfortunately, also" where the inhabitants try to eat Homer in a giant fondue."
Apparently, "The Man Who Came To Be Dinner" was originally scheduled to air as season 24's finale way back in 2013, but was replaced by "Dangers on a Train."
As series producer Al Jean tweeted out, "The Man Who Came to be Dinner ends 2 yr voyage to small screen Sunday. Can't wait!"

He added earlier in the year that the episode was "David Silverman directed," and that it "will air in January with big football leadin. In my very biased opinion it looks awesome."
