Following this week's successful Simpsons-Futurama crossover episode - with deadline.com reporting a ratings rise for the episode - Fox have announced that this week The Simpsons will be spreading their wings, dressing up (or down, as it were) and heading to riotous free-for-all Burning Man in this Sunday's episode.
Titled "Blazed and Confused", the episode will feature Bart heading to an event called 'Blazing Guy' and presumably taking Homer, Marge and the team along for the ride. Just how Bart decides to head to Blazing Guy remains a mystery, but we do know that the episode will have a special guest star, Willem Dafoe. Fox have given the episode a synopsis that explains "Bart schemes to bring down his new teacher, MR. LASSEN (guest voice Willem Dafoe), who is a terrible bully."
As it turns out, The Simpsons and Burning Man already have a very deep connection, with longtime Simpsons producer/director (and Monsters Inc. co-director David Silverman) being an enthusiastic Burning Man attendee, famed for his flaming tuba.

He also happened to announce this episode back in August!

The episode, however, according to Simpsons producer Al Jean, is not the one that will be involving Judd Apatow.
No, in Blazed and Confused Bart gets a new teacher and the Simpsons go to Burning Man. Judd Apatow's hypnotism episode is Bart's New Friend

But, from the looks of the promos, it will deliver some excellent, mind-bending scenes.
