Macklemore - world beating hip-hop star and outspoken cultural rapper du jour - is going to be a dad. He and fiancée Tricia Davis announced the news this morning via twitter, posting a video and captioning it "We wanted to share the news with you ourselves...Love Ben & Tricia." In the video, Macklemore - real name Ben Haggerty - and fiancee Tricia Davis look on during a sonogram and share plenty of hugs and kisses. it will be the first child for the Grammy Award-winning "Same Love" star and his long-time partner Davis, and comes just a day after the rapper confirmed a new Macklemore album in 2015.
The beginning of the baby clip reads: "Today the media speculated about some big news in our life, so we decided to share it with you ourselves. Love, Ben & Tricia."
The clip then shows Ben and Tricia having a sonogram and smiling at the images of their unborn baby with hugs coming from all round. It finishes with a simple message saying when the baby's due, which is in May 2015.

As People Magazine point out, Macklemore's mom Julie is there, and it's the first time they're hearing their baby's heart together for the first time. They add that Macklemore's producer/creative partner Ryan Lewis helped produce the video.
The pair got engaged back in January 2013 after the rapper tweeted out the news, saying:
"After 7 years...I asked. And she said yes. The love of my life."

As US Weekly report, Macklemore then gushed to Ellen DeGeneres on her talk show Ellen about his relationship with Tricia saying that his "fiancee was with me when we were printing out 20 T-shirts at a time at a show with 15 people there. She's been with us every step of the way. She produces the music videos and is our tour manager. She's been there since the beginning."
It comes as Macklemore confirmed on Jan. 1 that there will indeed be a new Macklemore album in 2015, following he and Ryan Lewis's smash hit debut The Heist from 2012. He tweeted out:
RT @loucereal: Its 2015 and I still don't have a new @macklemore album wtf <- you will this year. Believe that
