Cyber bullying is a very serious and terrible concept that too often leads to suicides, but in the new 2015 horror movie Unfriended from MTV, the victim gets some ghostly revenge on those that have wronged her. When a video goes viral online of an intoxicated girl named Laura Barns, resulting in plenty of name-calling and judgment, the negative attention takes its toll. On the one-year anniversary of her self-inflicted death, Barns' friends, taking part in a group-chat on Skype, are interrupted by a mysterious account joining in on their online hangout. According to Gamma Squad, the entire film was shot in the video chat format, allowing the audience to witness the terrifying events as if we were part of the Skype call. After contacting the guilty parties in trying to reveal who spread the drunken video online, dark secrets are revealed to the group of friends to torture them. Then, the blood starts to flow as this ghostly attacker begins to attack the former friends.
From the looks of the trailer below, this possible ghost might be possessing the victims' hands, making them do terrible things to themselves.
