Kate Gosselin might be raking in the cash on The Celebrity Apprentice, but it is being revealed today, Jan. 20, that the reality TV star's rumored new boyfriend has a secret past stating that he isn't so good with his money. Rumors have been circling for the last month that the Kate Plus 8 star has been seeing millionaire Jeff Prescott, but it seems that her new beau has had some problems in the money department as well as the love department in the past.
According to Radar Online, not only did Jeff go through a pretty ugly divorce, but he also has filed for bankruptcy in the past. The news site obtained court documents from Jeff and his wife at the time Michelle Jones regarding their monetary issues.
The site is reporting that the pair filed for bankruptcy in 1993, but the case was fully discharged by the end of the year. The terms are not available to the public, but from what the document says Jeff changed his last name from Jones to Prescott after this case as well as Chapter 7 went public in 1988.
Since the legal issues Jeff has been going by the last name Prescott, and it seems he has turned his life around, as he is reportedly a multimillionaire now.

But Kate is quick to dismiss the dating rumors, as she tells People that when she starts dating she will be the first to let everyone know.
"I'm like really?" the star explained of the dating rumors. "I get it. Everyone wants me to be dating. I hear it loud and clear. It just doesn't happen that easily, but I want it just as much as anyone does."
