Fans better have gotten a good look at Jessica Lange last night, Jan. 21, on American Horror Story as it might be the last time they see her on the program. The Emmy-winning actress has drawn a lot of speculation regarding her status on the series, especially after announcing that she thought she'd be done after Season 4. But when Ryan Murphy told some news site that he was developing a character around Lange for Season 5, it seemed her return could be hopeful. But it now seems that the AHS staple might be done with the show for good.
Ryan Murphy took to his Twitter account earlier today to post a message, which draw even more speculation regarding Jessica's continuation or departure from the series. He just wrote the simple words, "Thank you Jessica... for everything. Always."

The short but sweet message, got fans thinking that last night's performance was Jessica's final goodbye to the horror franchise — but what a way to go out. Her character, Elsa Mars, finally got what she had been searching all season for: love and admiration from fans. Lange explained in an interview with E! News, that she didn't think she would be able to top Elsa even if she tried.
"You know, I told him that we would sit down and have a long conversation when this was over," Jessica explained to the news site regarding her involvement in Season 5. "In a way this character is so great, I don't know how you top Elsa Mars. I really — in deference to Ryan, who I love dearly and who I respect beyond — I have no idea at this point."
Well, it seems that Jessica hasn't made an official decision yet, but it isn't looking good, American Horror Story freaks.
