Will Ferrell nailed a cheerleader in the face with a basketball during halftime of Wednesday's New Orleans Pelicans game against the Los Angeles Lakers, and had to be carried out of the arena by security guards. After stumbling around and dedicating the shot to "Dylan and Megan and Sarah and Dylan" — and calling out his wife 'Sarah' for cheating on him with 'Scott' — Ferrel lined up for a half court shot... but the obviously drunk star of Anchorman and Talladega Nights instead threw the ball directly into the unsuspecting face of an onlooking cheerleader. The Lakers, perhaps unsurprisingly, lost 96-80 to the Pelicans.

Of course, it was all staged as part of Ferrell's new movie, Daddy's Home. As Huffington Post report, "The scene is for the upcoming film, Daddy's Home, which also stars Mark Wahlberg, Linda Cardellini and Hannibal Buress, according to IMDB."
The film is directed by Sean Anders, director of Horrible Bosses 2 and That's My Boy (yikes), and Dumb & Dumber To and Hot Tub Time Machine writer John Morris.

"I don't even like fajitas," yells Ferrell before he steals a ball (the previous one having been taken off him) and lining up for the shot.
He dedicates the shot to "Dylan and Megan and Sarah and Dylan," and then lines up for the basket. He shoots, but instead nails the cheerleader right in the face.
Ferrel then dribbles another ball around security before he's literally carried out of the arena by a number of security guards.
As Daddy's Home's IMDB synopsis says, "When a divorced guy's ex-wife re-marries someone way more uptight, he re-enters her life and wreaks havoc."
It already sounds — and now looks — great. What do you think?
