Hines Ward has called the New England Patriots cheaters, and blamed coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady. The Dancing With The Stars winner and former Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver also told The Today Show's Matt Lauer that he wants very harsh punishment to be leveled at the franchise as they gear up for the 2015 Super Bowl against the Seattle Seahawks on Feb. 1, and said that if the Patriots win Super Bowl 49, it will be tainted forever, he told Late Night With Seth Meyers.

Dancing With The Stars winner Ward, the 2005 NFL Super Bowl MVP, explained on Late Night with Seth Meyers that he doesn't believe a word of Bill Belichick and Tom Brady's DeflateGate denials. "No I do not. of course they're not going to say that," said Ward.
The Dancing With The Stars season 12 winner added that it doesn't matter what you do to cross the line, "cheating is cheating. And for the New England Patriots, they got caught."
"Regardless of however you want to spin it, it's all about the integrity of the game. To deflate a ball to give you an edge, or an advantage to be able to throw it by deflating the football it almost feels like a nerf football. You feel like you can throw it a mile."
The NBC Sunday Night Football analyst also explained that were the Patriots to beat the Seahawks in the Super Bowl, "it's going to be tainted."
Coz," he continued, "they're always going to say 'Well, you cheated, you did this, you had spygate'."

Ward — showing his objectivity as an analyst — also flat out called the Patriots cheats, saying that their history of cheating works against them in any reading of this situation, saying "No question, that's the truth."
It goes back as far as Spygate said Ward, when he felt "like they were calling the plays before we ran them."
He added an example of when the "whole defense of the Patriots shifted over to where we were running the ball," after an audible call by Steelers quarterback Kordell Stewart and running back Jerome Bettis complained that the Patriots knew the Steelers plays before they did.

His comments to Seth Meyers echoed those he made earlier to The Today Show's Matt Lauer, when he said decried deflate gate as "cheating, regardless of how you spin it. "
He added to Lauer that, due to the Patriots history of apparent cheating, the wide receiver wants to see "very harsh" punishment leveled at the franchise.
"I don't think they're going to do anything before the Super Bowl, but the punishment has to be very harsh on the Patriots,'' Ward said. "This s is their second time around getting found guilty for cheating."
He added that the DeflateGate was all on "Tom Brady and the ball boy." Check out the interview below:
