Looks like John Mayer is really putting together a list of heavy hitters for his stint hosting the once-upon-a-time Craig Ferguson hosted CBS talk show. The boyfriend to Super Bowl Halftime Show Katy Perry hits the Late Late Show seat this coming Feb. 4 and will do so until the 6th. And now, he's confirmed that Ed Sheeran will be stopping by to sit panel as well as perform as the musical guest. Will the two musicians talk about all of the controversy surrounding the x singer and Oasis frontman Noel Gallagher? We'll have to wait and see. One thing is certain, however, those Giada De Laurentiis cheating scandal rumors probably won't be discussed.
Which is fine because who cares...
Headline Planet is bringing us the news of Sheeran's Late Late Show appearance, which will air just two night before CBS' Grammy Awards airs. Sheeran is a 2015 Grammy Award nominee and will also be performing at the awards ceremony.
Mayer confirmed the Sheeran seat via his Twitter account just yesterday, confirming both Watch What Happens Live host Andy Cohen and actor-comedian Jim Carrey as well:
Guests for #JMLATELATESHOW have been announced, with more to come…Andy Cohen (Feb 4) Jim Carrey (Feb 5) and Ed Sheeran (Feb 6).

The publication notes that Mayer has been incredibly vocal about his thoughts regarding Sheeran's talents, writing on Twitter, "I'd like to sit and talk to someone for about an hour about how great @edsheeran was tonight..."
He further added, "You could break @edsheeran's talent into about six equal pieces and still have six very talented and successful artists."
Readers, what do you think about Mayer's booking of Sheeran? How will the two get along?
