'Sonic Runners' 2015 Game Features Sonic The Hedgehog, Tails, & Knuckles in Teaser Trailer! [WATCH]

The teaser trailer has been released for the new Sonic Runners game. In the upcoming mobile game, Sonic the Hedgehog and his trusted friends, Miles "Tails" Prower and Knuckles the Echidna, will be racing at full speed to get to the Android and iOS for gamers this 2015 Spring.

Translating from Japanese to English, Polygon states from Famitsu, Sonic Runners is meant to be played with one hand. Players will be able to tap the touchscreen to make Sonic jump. Like in the previous Sonic games, the fastest hedgehog will have to collect rings and confront the big boss at the end of every level. Though there is no plot description, we can safely assume sonic is back again to stop Dr. Robotnik.

Released on the IGN YouTube account, the caption states, "Get your first look at this free-to-play mobile game created by Sonic Team."

According to the official Sega site, the videogame will be made available for fee. To play, gamers will need to have an iPhone 4/5/66, iPod Touch (5th generation or later), iPad 2, or an Android OS 2.3.

If you noticed, the trailer doesn't show any footage from new game. The footage does feature a timeline of Sonic the Hedgehog's previous 2D side-scrolling adventures. A blast from the past, take a loot at the Sega Genesis games from before to Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode 2.

We previously mentioned, announced at the 2014 New York Comic Con, Archie Comics is putting together an epic comic book event. Mega Man and Sonic The Hedgehog will be teaming up in a monumental storyline entitled, Worlds Unite, the sequel to World's Collide.

Sonic Runners is scheduled to be released in Spring 2015.
