Lauren Cohan, star of AMC's zombie drama The Walking Dead has revealed that she was once pulled over by police while covered in zombie guts, but avoided a ticket in a very sneaky way. The actress, who plays Maggie Greene in the grisly hit, also explained on Jimmy Kimmel Live! what it's like to have family who are huge zombie fans and offer her acting advice... even if her grandpa still insists on watching Philadelphia Eagles games live instead of her show. But even they want to know; what will happen with Maggie and Glen (Steven Yeun) in the second half of Season Five?

As Cohan told hist Jimmy Kimnel, It turns out her grandma is the biggest fan of The Walking Dead in her family, even leaving her cute long-winded congratulatory voicemails that devolve into complaining about Cohan's grandpa. Check it out below.

The star also admitted that she has, on occasion, left The Walking Dead's Georgia set "without washing," which put her in a sticky situation with a local police officer.

Cohan explained to Kimmel that she had a day where she was "elbow deep in Walker guts," and despite being "never ever ever ever being pulled over," because she's a "really good driver," Cohan was pulled over... "with blood up to her elbows," twigs in her hair and dust in her teeth. She "looked like a psycho," the star laughed.

As Uproxx point out, "To prove she wasn't an insane person on a murder spree, Cohan made sure her script was in plain sight, which had to be a bummer for the cop if he's a fan of the show."

Turns out the police officer had a very different response to the one she expected. Find out if Cohan avoided a ticket below.

[SPOILERS]

You can watch Cohan kneeling over the grave of a recently deceased character in the first two minutes of the mid-season premiere of The Walking Dead -- which returns to AMC on Sunday Feb. 8 at 9 p.m. -- below.
