Vanderpump Rules is probably the most dramatic show on the airwaves right now -- well, maybe besides any of the given Real Housewives cities, which only makes sense as they're spinoffs of RHOBH. but Season 3 might just be the show's most dramatic season yet. During last week's episode, Tom Schwartz dropped a bombshell on his longtime girlfriend Katie Maloney, as he told her that he had cheated on her while he was in Las Vegas. But the two have moved past the drama, as Katie seems to have forgiven Tom for his indiscretion.
The two sat down with Hollywood Life for an interview to explain what happened and how they've managed to move past it.
"What I did was awful and I truly feel terrible about it," Tom explained to the news site. "I'm not going to make light of it or undermine the situation. That being said, if you are going to cheat, it's probably the best way to do it -- there was no prior relationship and there was no relationship after I was drunk. It was still terrible, but what happened was pretty innocent. Like I said, I'm not undermining what I did ... but trust me, I paid for it."
As for Katie, she said she was able to look past the scandal because there was no follow-up after the kiss.
"For me, a lot of the reason why I could get past it was [because] there wasn't a romantic relationship or affair. There was no emotions attached to it, drunken, sloppy make-out -- that's not a lot to get your panties in a twist about. It's really not, in my opinion."
The two also appeared on Watch What Happens: Live as a united front, after last Monday's Feb. 2 confession, and they seemed to be unbreakable as they said that their relationship has only strengthened since Tom's reveal. Katie posted a picture to her Instagram account of the two on Andy Cohen's late-night talk show.
