'Justified' Season 6 Recap: 'The Trash and The Snake': Timothy Olyphant, Walton Goggins Meet Avery Markham!

Based on the popular crime novels by the late author Elmore Leonard, the final Season 6 season of Justified continues on FX with an all-new episode. Will Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) and Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins) discover who is 'The Trash and the Snake?'

After Ava (Joelle Carter) wakes up with Boyd, Raylan realizes she is sleeping with him. She tells him about Avery Markham (Sam Elliott), who is described as the big bad wolf. Breaking into her room, Katherine Hale (Mary Steenburgen) hints that she knows Ava is hiding something. Art Mullen (Nick Searcy) warns Raylan not to get himself bit as he intends to take down Avery. 

Raylan and Tim (Jacob Pitts) are working together to figure out what's in the ledger. They discover that an old couple was murdered because their names were in the ledger. While Katherine and Ava are having dinner together, Wynn Duffy (Jere Burns) takes Boyd to meet Lewis Mago (Jake Busey), who can help break into the vault.

During their test run, Lewis shows off the explosives they are going to use for the vault. Katherine then takes Ava to meet a fancy jeweler, who gives her expensive earrings to try on. While the jeweler is distracted, Katherine makes the switch for and then the two are off.  

As Tm and Raylan investigate the murder, they realize Avery's big plan is to legalize pot in Kentucky and buy the property to grow it. Unfortunately, Lewis ends up blowing himself up. His blood is splattered all over Boyd and Duffy.

At the prison, the two meet up with Dickie Bennett (Jeremy Davies), who doesn't even realize he sold his property to Loretta McCready (Kaitlyn Dever). Ty Walker (Garret Dillahunt) is trying to make a deal for her property, but Loretta isn't really listening to him. Tim and Raylan arrive at Loretta's place to stop Ty from killing her. 

Back at Loretta's place, Avery meets with Raylan and Tim. Having been around since the Bennetts, Avery has never heard of the Givens. As Raylan stops the negotiations, the two both have their own standoff. As Raylan promises he won't be arresting him for weed, Avery says he will be seeing him soon. 

Katherine reveals to Ava that her husband was the face, but she got things done. Before Ava leaves, Katherine reminds her of the prison guard that got her incarcerated. Raylan wants Loretta to stay away from the weed and put two big guys at her doorstep. 

Boyd has plans to steal Avery's plan, legalize pot, and take his money. His endgame only gets Ava more worried and makes her cry.
