This weekend marks the annual Game For Equality for Chelsea FC when the EPL standings leaders take on Burnley FC. As part of the clubs Building Bridges Campaign, this special match aims to promote the fight against decimation and support equality, with the players sporting the campaign logo on their kits this weekend. Other organizations involved in this special game include Kick It Out, Football v Homophobia, Show Racism the Red Card, the Premier League and The Football Association. Chelsea's attacking midfielder Cesc Fabregas this week spoke about this campaign.

"As a squad and a club we are fully committed to standing up to all forms of discrimination. At Chelsea we all get along with each other whether we are from Africa, Europe, America, Russia and regardless of race, religion, gender or sexuality," the Spanish footballer said in a statement posted to Chelsea's official website this week. "That is not important, it's about the person. I support all work promoting equality and days like this will help get the message out. There is no place for discrimination within our club and our communities should be open to all."
Star striker, Diego Costa also commented on promoting equality this week.
"Chelsea can set an example with regards to equality within the game," he said. "I know the club has been doing a lot of work in order to promote equality and take away discrimination. A lot of hard work has been done and it's hugely important."

Meanwhile, a group of Chelsea fans made headlines this week after a racist attack on a Black man in France, after the UEFA Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain.
