After receiving a red card for a retaliation attack on Ashley Barnes last week when EPL standings leader Chelsea FC played Burnley in the Barclays Premier League, star defender Nemanja Matic also received a three-match ban. This week, the Football Association announced that this ban has been reduced to two matches, which means Matic will miss the Capitol One Cup final game against Tottenham Hotspur on March 1, 2015. This weekend marks the annual Game For Equality for Chelsea FC when the EPL standings leaders take on Burnley FC. As part of the clubs Building Bridges Campaign, this special match aims to promote the fight against decimation and support equality, with the players sporting the campaign logo on their kits this weekend. Other organizations involved in this special game include Kick It Out, Football v Homophobia, Show Racism the Red Card, the Premier League and The Football Association.
