MStars News has learned that there have been some updates surrounding the freak accident death of Brownstone singer Charmayne Maxwell. After a number of news websites reported that the singer fell during her son's soccer game, TMZ this week shared an update after learning what really happened. The website is now reporting that Maxwell died at her home in Los Angeles after suffering from glass wounds to the neck when she fell backwards at the doorway between her house and the back patio, while holding a wine glass.
When Maxwell fell, the wine glass shattered on the ground behind the singer's head. As a result, the glass punctured the back of her neck in two places. The were no injuries to the singer's head, but she may have been knocked unconscious. Charmayne's husband, Carsten Soulshock, a Danish music producer, found his wife bleeding around 9 PM Friday night. There was no history of domestic violence, family members explained to the police after they were interviewed. Soulshock was also interviewed by the LAPD.
According to ABC, Soulshock met Maxwell, who also goes by the name "Maxee," after he was hired to produce for the Brownstone group. The couple has one son, Nicolaj Schack.
The police do not think foul play was involved. The only question is, what caused Maxwell to fall? One conclusion is she was drunk. A coroner is currently performing an autopsy and toxicology test to hopefully reveal those results.
Many shocked family members, including Maxwell's brother, Brandon, spoke out via social media about the singer's death.
"R.I.P to my beautiful sister Charmayne 'Maxee' Maxwell I'm so devasted because you deserved to stay on this earth much longer. You had such an amazing talent and you went really far with your singing career. I felt so inspired from you and it gave me motivation to become the best performer I could be. I love you so much sis, I'm so grateful I was able to have you in my life," Brandon captioned the photo below.
