'La-Mulana EX' Game From Rising Star Games & Pygmy Studio Launches On PlayStation Vita! [WATCH]

From Rising Star Games and Pygmy Studio, players should get ready to explore the deadly labyrinth of an ancient ruins in a new action game. Launching on PlayStation Vita, La-Mulana EX lets gamers enter treacherous surroundings and take on the big bosses in a thrilling adventure.

From the official website, the story centers on the fabled ruins of La-Mulana. Players must help Professor Lemeza Kosugiembark embark on this exciting but ultimately dangerous adventure. Armed at with his trusty whip, the quick-witted adventurer must traverse through the lost city to find a maze of unexplored caves. While facing unsolved riddles and taking on ravenous monsters, will Lemeza survive the quest and uncover the secret to life itself?

PlayStation Blog describes the game as, "A combination of classic 2D platforming, Metroidvania-style adventuring and challenging action gameplay."

According to the release, there are many key features to each level. Players will have a chance to travel almost anywhere in the game, right from the start. The "All-New Monster Bestiary" allows players to view the artwork, analyze the little details of the monsters slayed, and the characters met within the level.

On the official Rising Star Games Facebook page, the caption states along with new images, "A long-lost legend stirs and the cradle of civilisation opens - it's time to explore the ruins in La-Mulana EX, coming soon to PlayStation Vita! Grab your whip and venture inside the ancient ruins to fight monsters, spring traps and battle bosses on a quest to discover not just valuable treasure, but the secret to life itself!"

Players will also have the option to undo the "Hard Mode" curse. With improved translations, English, Japanese, French, Spanish, German, and Russian will have language support.
