FX's 'Justified' Season 6 Recap: 'The Hunt': Will Timothy Olyphant, Walton Goggins Save Ava?

Based on the popular crime novels by the late author Elmore Leonard, the final Season 6 season of Justified continues on FX with an all-new episode. Will Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) or Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins) find Ava (Joelle Carter) first in 'The Hunt?'

Rachel (Erica Tazel) is in charge of the manhunt but Raylan has to leave for personal reasons. Ty Walker (Garret Dillahunt) is sitting in his car, making the call to Avery Markham (Sam Elliot). Seabass (Scott Grimes) is ordered by Avery to kill Ty and offered money for his loyalty. 

At home, Ava notices luggage lying on the floor. Boyd wants to take her to the cabin up in the woods, just the two of them. Winona (Natalie Zea) is back in Harlan, waiting for Raylan. He finally has a chance to hold his daughter in his arms. 

While Zachariah (Jeff Fahey) tries to keep things in control at the mine shaft, Winona and Raylan are stressing that their little girl might have a heart condition. The two have to decide how to share custody over their little girl. At the cabin, Boyd wants to have a talk about trust and loyalty with Ava. Their face slapping and neck strangling leads to intense sex.

Ty cuts the bullet out of his arm and gets two drunk fraternity brothers to take his credit card. With their baby crying, Rylan tries to convince Winona that he wants to be involved. Boyd wakes up Ava and tells her they're going hunting. Rylan holds the crying baby, so that Winona can get some sleep.

Art meets with Avery at the Marshals office. While they poke fun at each other, Art brings up suicides and murders; hinting Avery is a rat. Then Art makes fun of Raylan for bringing his daughter to the office. Stranded on the road, Ty gets a cell signal and calls 911.

In the woods, Boyd asks Ava is she's scared of him. Ava is going out of her mind after he starts shooting his shotgun. Winona knows he took their daughter to the office. She wants to be by his side to raise their daughter. They can be together and he can still be him. 

Ty steals an ambulance and kills both paramedics. Boyd is eating his kill while Ava is left starving. Boyd knows she's been lying to him all this time. Ava reveals she is a snitch for Raylan and sold out Boyd. 

As Boyd takes his gun out, Ava yells at him for abandoning her in prison. Handing the gun to Ava, Boyd though thinks she's sleeping with Raylan. Ava drops the gun  to prove they both still love each other. Boyd can give enough info to Raylan so that they can steal Avery's money and run. 

There were no bullets in the gun as Boyd puts back the real clip; this was all a test.
