WATCH: New 'Adr1ft' 2015 Gameplay Video Is 9 Minutes Of First-Person Space Exploration

Adr1ft is the ambitious new video game from developer Three One Zero that puts gamers into a spacesuit in one of the most intense first-person experience games ever. This title also has Oculus Rift capabilities, leaving us to wonder just how real the gameplay can feel. With a release date set for later in 2015, the anticipation around the game is growing quite rapidly. This week, a 9-minute video premiered, featuring plenty of great new footage of the game and what kind of experience this really is. Watch some video footage below!

As part of IGN's special Games You Need to Know More About segment this month, we get a great new look at Adr1ft and why everyone in the gaming community is excited about it. This video is 9 minutes of tension, with your oxygen running low as you explore a wrecked spaceship. Finding new O2 bottles and searching for any survivors is just part of the task as we see in this new video.

Here is the official synopsis of this highly anticipated new video game (via Three Zero One):

Floating silently amongst the wreckage of a destroyed space station with no memory and a severely damaged EVA suit slowly leaking oxygen, the only survivor struggles to determine the cause of the catastrophic event that took the lives of everyone on board. The player fights to stay alive by exploring the wreckage for precious resources, and overcomes the challenges of an unforgiving environment to repair the damaged EEV and safely return home.
