FX's 'Justified' Season 6 Recap: 'Dark As a Dungeon': Will Timothy Olyphant, Walton Goggins Stop Ty Walker?

Based on the popular crime novels by the late author Elmore Leonard, the final Season 6 season of Justified continues on FX with an all-new episode. Will Raylan Givens (Timothy Olyphant) and Boyd Crowder (Walton Goggins) suddenly team up against Ty Walker (Garret Dillahunt) in 'Dark as a Dungeon?'

After taking out the trash, Raylan is getting rid of past and old memories. He drowns the items in liquor and lets it burn. Boyd and Ava are setting up Raylan through his cell. Tim (Jacob Pitts) visits Raylan, who intends to make a visit with Zachariah. Ty Walker has been hiding out at Ava's place. 

At the mine shaft,  Zachariah (Jeff Fahey) and Boyd are arguing over money to finish the job. Zachariah now has 2 days to get to the vault. While Ty tells Ava he is not there to hurt her, Raylan meets with Zachariah, who wants nothing to do with him. Rylan hits him and discovers a crate full of dynamite. The two get into a fist-fight before Zachariah falls.

Raylan isn't going to arrest him though. Katherine Hale (Mary Steenburgen) meets with Wynn Duffy (Jere Burns) to find out if Avery is a rat. If she marries Avery, Katherine will have access to his bank account. While Ava is stitching up Ty, Boyd shows up finally to his house. 

Wanting to work with Boyd, Ty has the combination to the vault, which is unguarded. They have to work with each other to get to the vault. Art (Nick Searcy) meets with Katherine, talking about who ratted out her husband. They both believe Avery is involved somehow. Art debates about leaving the room as Katherine undresses herself.

Raylan meets with Avery Markham(Sam Elliott) because they both want Ty. Boyd is their common problem and Walker is in the middle. On the radio, Avery announces he is offering a cash reward to bring in Walker. 

Ty wants assurances before they attempt to rob the heist. Their plan is to fake out Raylan with a text. Showing up at Boyd's place, Raylan promises he will get his man and leave to Florida. Entering the house, there is no sign of Ty at first. Knowing there is a reward money, Boyd gives up Ty, who starts running. Raylan then shoots Walker in the back and drops him dead. 

Raylan, Boyd, and Avery go down to the vault to get the reward money. While Boyd collects, Zachariah sets off the explosives. Feeling the floor shake, Raylan realizes Boyd is blasting his way to the vault. 

Knowing there is 10 million in the vault, Boyd cannot resist walking away. Ava argues with Raylan, who realizes something happened on their hunting trip. She screws up and gives Raylan the wrong mine shaft. 

Raylan calls Rachel (Erica Tazel) to tell her that Ava has been burned. He then visits one of his father's old tool sheds. Raylan hallucinates talking to his father, wondering about his secret horrors. Knowing he will never understand his father, Raylan doesn't care what happens to his family's plot.
