There's no denying that video games like Ea Sports' FIFA soccer gaming series are addictive, but could you imagine spending over $4,500 on them? Now imagine if you only figured this out once you got your bank statement, and never played the game before! This is what happened to one angry father when he found out his son had been spending thousands of dollars on player packs. Now this gamer's parents are looking to sue Microsoft for making it so easy for children to spend money on games like this.

According to IGN, the "Ultimate Team" version of this game allows players to purchase player packs with in-game money or actual money, which this unfortunate parent found out the hard way. This unnamed father posted his story to Medium, describing what happened and why he believes he has a case against the Xbox company.

After revealing that his son thought that he was hitting the purchase button a little too often, the $4,500 taken out of his account was a rude awakening.

"The answer to us is now clear - he became addicted to the game, spending $100 was as easy as clicking a button, there were no barriers, and it didn't feel like real money even though it had a dollar sign on the screen," the parent said. "My wife and I accept our responsibility in this. We should have paid much closer attention to his video gaming, and my son accepts his responsibility and punishment."

He added: "If Microsoft wanted to spare thousands of parents from frustration, anger and sometimes, serious financial consequences then it could find a hundred ways to do it. It has just chosen not to."
